Meet Our Team
Hi, my name is Dr. White and I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. After graduation, I started my career in a mixed animal practice in Orange Park before leaving to start a mobile services practice. In 1997, Springlake Animal Hospital was founded in a small office we referred to as "the closet". As the clinic grew through support from the local community, in 2000 we moved to our current location at 7400 State Road 21 across the street from Johnny's Barbeque. In addition to my 8 horses, 5 dogs, 6 cats and a Cougar named Kiki, I have twin 12 year old girls. I bring my passion for animals to my job, and that love for animals is the basis for the way my clinic has been run, and a big reason for its consistent growth over the years.
Amy Wells is our Office Manager/Head Technician since December 2007. She is happily married and has 3 children. Amy and her husband Aaron volunteer with youth organizations such as Pop Warner football and cheerleading. They love keeping active in local youth sports programs. Amy has a boxer, two English Mastiffs, a bassett hound, and two cats. Can you tell they love animals? After working here, Amy says, "I can't imagine working anywhere else!".
Brittany Waldron (Head Vet Tech) started working at our clinic in December of 2007 after working for a clinic in Gainesville for several years. Due to her considerable experience and skills, we quickly elevated her to the position of Head Vet Tech. Brittany is originally from Orlando, but now resides in Keystone Heights. She has been accepted and and is attending veterinary school at the University of Florida. She has a Boxer named "Tootsie" who knows a lot of tricks and is full of life.
Brittany has completed her second year in Gainesville at the Vet School, so we don't see her much. She does continue to help us out on the weekends, and hopefully after things settle down a bit at school, you'll see her around more often.
Rob Crittenden (Vet Tech) is a part-time tech. Rob is a junior at Keystone Heights High School. After he graduates, Rob plans to pursue a career as a large animal vet. Rob raises cattle and enjoys fishing and hunting.
Kalei Alford (Vet Tech) is also a part-time tech at Springlake. She has lived in the Keystone Heights area her entire life. She is currently attending Santa Fe Community College, pursuing a career in Nursing. Kalei has always enjoyed being around animals. She has a chihuahua named Smitty. Kalei likes spending as much time as possible with her dog who she loves very dearly.
